Allow Me To Reintroduce Myself | A Personal Growth Journey

Krissy Lewis reflecting on her personal growth journey

There’s going to be a time in your life when you’re sick of your own ish…

Sick of doubting yourself
Sick of being mean and critical of yourself
Sick of not being who you’re destined to be

It’s been that time for me…

It’s been a while since I really wrote on my site and really shared mental space with y’all. So much has happened, been healed, and changed. The biggest change of it all is I’m done being scared of my own potential.

So again, allow me to reintroduce myself… My name is Krissy.

Krissy Lewis lifestyle and beauty creator

I’m a content creator, Epilepsy advocate, full-time flight attendant, and occasional poet. I grew up in NYC — born in Queens, raised in the Bronx, and currently call Atlanta home, when I’m not traveling the world. Although it might not be outwardly apparent when you meet me, I’m Jamaican with a high admiration and respect for my culture.

I’m an introvert with a passion for beauty, natural hair, wellness, and commitment to self. I battle a perfectionist and self-sabotaging mindset, if I’m keeping it 100 with you, but I don’t let it hold me back.

My ultimate goal is to give to this world what I was destined to. I believe I’m here to share space to inspire, inform, and create a safe space through my passion.  For me, that rebuilding has touched every area of my life. I’m ready to live out my wildest dreams and share it all with you along the way.

The Work I’m Doing

I’m a content creator, but not in the way that feels performative or forced. I create around the things that genuinely shape my life — beauty, wellness, travel, natural hair, and the quiet routines that make it all happen.

Content creation for me is storytelling. I share the things that genuinely shape my life — beauty, wellness, travel, and natural hair. I do collaborate with brands and share products I truly enjoy, but I will never recommend something I don’t believe in. If something doesn’t work for me, I’ll say that too.

I value trust above everything. That’s law for me.

My Advocacy Mission

National Epilepsy Walk advocacy event raising awareness

At the center of everything I do is purpose.

One of the missions closest to my heart is advocating for epilepsy awareness, especially within the Black community. I started Epilepsy In Blk to epilepsy awareness, support, and education in communities that are often overlooked. I want people who look like me to see themselves represented in conversations about health, healing, and advocacy.

Epilepsy affects millions of people, but conversations about it are often missing in spaces where they matter most. Living with epilepsy has shaped the way I see health, discipline, and self-care. It taught me early that taking care of your body is not optional — it’s necessary.

Healing, Therapy & Growth

journaling routine for personal growth

Therapy has been one of the most important commitments I’ve made to myself. It’s helped me unpack things I didn’t realize I was carrying — expectations, patterns, fears, and the quiet ways we sometimes abandon ourselves to keep things comfortable for others. Growth is uncomfortable. But healing has taught me something powerful: discipline is an act of self-respect.

Showing up for yourself consistently — in the gym, in your routines, in your work, in your healing — is a form of love. And I’m learning to love myself enough to stay consistent and release the fear of unknown.

What I’m incorporating More Of

This version of me is simpler but freer.

podcast for personal growth journey

  • I want share more quiet mornings with coffee and music playing softly in the background (or a podcast). We’ll get into my favorite podcast in a separate post.
  • I’ve been committed to moving my body — Pilates, workouts, long walks that help me clear my mind, and boxing.
  • I’m creating content that feels calm, honest, and beautiful instead of chasing trends that don’t feel like me. My whole vibe is simplicity and beauty. I find extreme joy in the simple moments life has to offer.
  • I will continue to embrace my natural hair, minimal makeup, and skincare and share how that’s evolved.
  • I’m incorporating more traveling and experiencing new places, especially on TikTok. While still honoring the fact that I also love the peace of coming home to myself.
  • And I read a book a month. The love for reading and discovering new books is summed up by this one quote.

“A good book can cure loneliness, change minds, or even change the world.” — Alice Feeney

The Commitment I’m Making

personal reflection and self development notes

Right now I’m in a season of discipline. Not the harsh kind. The intentional kind. The kind where you show up for your goals even when nobody is watching. The kind where you stay consistent because you believe in the life you’re building.

I’m committed to creating and living more.

Writing more.
Sharing more.
Building more.

I’m committed to documenting this chapter of my life honestly — the wins, the lessons, the growth, and everything in between.

If you’re on a journey of rebuilding, healing, and becoming the person you know you’re meant to be, then you’re in the right place. Let’s look good, do good, and feel good together.

Because the truth is…

Life is forever evolving and the journey never stops.
